Following extensive lobbying by Farnham Residents Councillors Catherine Powell and David Beaman and additional intervention from our local MP Greg Stafford, Farnham finally has a Hoppa service to local hospitals.
Thanks to funding from Farnham Town Council, Waverley Borough Council, The Dempster Trust and Farnham Hedgehogs enough money has been raised to run the service for an initial six months.
What Hospitals Are Covered By The Hoppa Service?
Launching on 21st July, the Hoppa Hospital Transport Service can take you door to door from your home to medical appointments at any of the following hospitals:
Farnham Hospital | Frimley Park Hospital |
Aldershot Centre for Health | Clare Park Hospital, Farnham |
Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford | St Luke’s, Guildford |
Mount Alvernia, Guildford | The Jarvis Centre, Guildford |
Together with all doctors’ surgeries and any other health facility between Farnham and Guildford and Farnham and Frimley.
Who Can Use The Hospital Hoppa Service?
The Hospital Hoppa for Farnham service is for people who live in Farnham and surrounding villages which includes Badshot Lea, Dippenhall, Dockenfield, Frensham, Rowledge, Runfold, Rushmoor, Spreakly, The Bourne, Tilford, Upper Hale and Wrecclesham.
How Much Does The Hospital Hoppa Service Cost?
A one-way ticket on the Hospital Hoppa for Farnham costs £7.50 and £2.50 for carers/companions.
To start using the service customers need to register their details.
This can be done by visiting www.hoppa.org.uk/register or by calling 01428 681701.
Once registered, customers can book their seat by calling Hoppa on 01428 681701.
