Farnham Residents Safguarding Farnham’s Future

As the Government proceeds at pace with Local Government Reorganisation, your Farnham Residents Councillors are working hard to achieve the best possible outcome for Farnham.

Will a new Unitary look to sell off our town’s cultural and community assets to pay for other council’s financial mistakes?

We don’t want to take that risk. Which is why we’re taking action.

With concerns that our sports pitches, play areas, allotments and green spaces could be sold off to predatory developers, your Farnham Residents Councillors have already started the process of applying to transfer some of these important assets to Farnham Town Council through Waverley Borough Council’s Community Asset Transfer policy.

We believe that the local community should retain control over important community assets, and believe that Farnham Town Council is best placed to manage and protect them for future generations of the Farnham community.

Farnham Residents are committed to safeguarding Farnham’s future.
